- 10:00 start hiking
- 13:00 exit from the gorge
- 13:10 arrival to Frangokastello
- 15:00 departure from Frangokastello
- 17:00-17:30 arrival to Chania

General Information
Imbros gorge is in the South East part of the White Mountains, it’s length is 7 km, and has slopes up to 300m high. It’s famous due to the rare flora and the beautiful landscape all over the area… Begins from the traditional Cretan village Imbros (800 m high) and ends in the village Komitades (300 m high).
Our bus will pick you up from your hotel and after about 90 minutes drive, we arrive in the village of Imbros…Then follows the walk through the gorge, guided from our license trekking guide, who is going to help you if you need and he will give you information about the whole area. Follows a visit to Frangokastello, where we will have two hours of free time to enjoy the sea! Late in the afternoon, we return by our bus to your hotel.

Imbros Gorge is in province Sfakia and is the second largest gorge in Crete, following Samaria Gorge. The picturesque scenery and its wilderness in combination with the low difficulty make the descent of Imbros ideal for families with children. The walking length of the gorge is 9 km and the course lasts about 2.5 hours. You can walk to the gorge all year round and it is definitely worth seeing. . During your descent you will meet various famous locations such as the “Airplane”, “Stenada”, “Mesofarango” and “Xepitira
Arch”. Imbros gorge was the escape route for thousands of allied troops retreating from the north of the island. During the period of the battle of Crete in 1941 the troops headed for Chora Sfakion to be collected by ships.

Please note that the following are prohibited inside the gorge: radios, singing, excessive noise, disposal of rubbish in place other than those provided, smoking anywhere other than the rest points, consumption of alcohol!
